American Academy presented the first environmentally friendly school in Paphos

Highly anticipated presentation of the Private American School in Paphos took place on the 18th of December 2009 at Elysium Hotel. Members of Paphos municipality, public councillors and various financial and banking institutions representatives as well as over 500 other people (parents and friends of the school students and everyone who asteems the School's project) attended this important event.

Conference, which was organised with support of Savvas Vergas, the mayor of Paphos, sent a message about today's challenges and importance of improvement of the educational system as well as about the need to establish new school. He also honoured everyone who inspired this project and is engaged it.

George Bargilis, the president of the Board of Directors, spoke of a vision and dreams that were coming true and expressed his pride concerning his past achievements but mostly about success of his former students, who entered various universities all over the world and became scientists .

The new school establishment, which was presented, will be built using the latest technologies used in Europe and USA, using completely recyclable materials and environmentally friendly systems.

Works completion is scheduled for the Summer 2010 and from the school year 2010-2011 Private American School in Paphos will host students of both, Primary and Secondary school levels.

The conference brought enormous amount of joy and optimism to everyone present,especially the students, their parents and teachers.
