Published first quarterly Cyprus Property Price Index The very first quarterly Cyprus Property Price Index (PPI) has been finally published. According to it, the average property price in Cyprus has reached €2,000 per square metre for a house and €1,865 per square metre for an apartment.   Highest valued prices for the houses and commercial properties are recorded in Nicosia and Limassol. Average house in Nicosia at the beginning of 2010 costs €523,438, same house in Limassol costs €496,250 and €460,417 in Paphos. Apostolides vs Orams: Greek Cypriot wins the case Judgment has been handed down in case of Greek Cypriot Meletis Apostolides against British Coulpe David and Linda Orams in favour of the Greek Cypriot, according to the statement of his lawyer. This final appeal is absolute and Orams will not be able to apply to the Supreme Court of UK anymore. According to the verdict the Cyprus judgments are to be registered and enforced in the UK. Improved Cyprus public transport system from June 2010 Cyprus is expecting great improvement in the public transport system from summer 2010. Nearly 45 Million Euro are to be invested in order to upgrade the Cyprus bus network. These measures are taken in order to lessen the traffic congestion as well as to facilitate travelling of the people between towns and within city centres. Government sorts out Title deeds issue Neoclis Sylikiotis   A promise was made on 29th July 2009 by Neoclis Sylikiotis Interior Minister– To free the accumulation of Title Deeds caught up in the bureaucracy. The government proposed several changes to Town Planning Legislation, which should ensure that around 130,000 Title Deed applications will be issued as soon as possible. New destinations added to the Larnaca Airport schedule "Fly Baboo" of Swiss andr and the Greek "Astra Airlines" routes are recently brought to Cyprus. These two airlines will fly from and to Larnaca International Airport. The first Fly Baboo flight has linked Geneva and Larnaca on the 6th of July 2009. At the moment this flight is scheduled every Monday and will be served by an Embraer-190 aircraft. "Astra Airlines", the greek airline, started flying to Larnaca on the 7th of July and will connect Cyprus with several Greek Islands such as: Skiathos, Rhodes, Santorini, Kos, and Mykonos.
