Civil Weddings in
Cyprus Requirements
The following procedures must be followed before the
wedding:
· You should arrive to Cyprus at least 3 working
days in advance.
· Your passports should be valid and not due to be
expired within 6 months.
· Each of you must have single Status Statutory
Declaration, which proves that you are free to get married. These must include
your full name, home address, nationality, religion, number of your passport
and occupation; state whether single, divorced or widowed; that you intend to
marry in Cyprus. It should be signed and stamped by a solicitor.
·
For divorced persons it is required to have the
original copy of the decree. For Catholics it is necessary to present the
original copy of the marriage annulment
· For widowed it is necessary to have the original
copy of the death certificate.
· For persons under 18 proof of parents' consent
(it must be stamped and signed by a solicitor).
· Proof of name change by Deed Poll (must be
stamped and signed by a solicitor).
· Birth certificates or, if adopted, adoption
certificates is required.
To avoid any complications, bring original documents from
the above list.
